Phyllis Bide and Royal William will be among the roses waiting to greet visitors to the National Trust’s Peckover House during this year’s Rose Fair.
This wonderfully scented garden, with its many pathways and hidden corners, is at its midsummer best, but at this time of year it is the roses which take centre stage.
Each year, visitors to Wisbech’s Rose Fair come to enjoy the delights of Peckover’s garden; to walk along its winding paths, to enjoy the refreshments on offer in the Reed Barn tea room, or simply to sit and contemplate.
This year’s Rose Fair begins on Wednesday 29th June and runs until Saturday 2nd July. The garden will open from 11am to last admission at 4pm daily. National Trust gardeners will be on hand each weekday afternoon to answer any questions on the garden’s many varieties of roses.
